Blurb :- Hi! I’m Laura. I am a special education teacher with over 15 years of experience. I have taught children ranging in age from 2 months to 21 years. I got into the field because I wanted to help people and make a difference in people’s lives. I loved helping these individuals learn who they are and rise to their potential. I firmly believe that it is important to show that even though we all have strengths, weaknesses and limitations, we each have a purpose and have the ability to achieve so much when given the opportunity and support that we need.
In my free time I am an avid reader of fantasy literature and mythology, which is my escape from the real world. I also write poetry and children’s stories. Sometimes I enjoy singing. I do like to watch comedies, especially from the 80’s. Much of my free time is spent with my amazing 8-year-old son. He challenges me and inspires me every day to be better and to live life to its fullest.
